So, as promised, the first chapter of
"The Autumnal Equinox" was sent to the two first place Winners of Michael & Anahita Contest ,
and
, and as promised, I'm going to send the feedbacks the two kind and talented winners sent me.
----
I really have to say, I read this first chapter the moment I got your email, and I couldnt stop reading ^^ And coming from me that really means a lot, because I m a person, I mean, I do read a lot (as in I spend a lot of time reading) but I don't read a lot of different books. That means i really have to like a book, and the style it was written in to keep me hooked
What I really like about this first chapter is for one thing, definitely the way you write! I think you are really talented, you write in a very interesting way, and I think (at least for me) it is very easy to read.. I thought it had a very "young and fresh" feel to it, which is something I can relate to and what I am looking for in a book
The other thing that i really love about this, are the different characters. You created really interesting people, and it was like I always wanted to get to know more about them, about their past. They just seem so real! I also like the way you describe the relationship between Anahita and Michael, the way Michael always thinks about her; it makes me wonder what kind of a special bond they have between each other ^^
I especially like Anahita! You did such a great job with her character, she seems so interesting and a bit mysterious, I just really wanted to know what the deal was about her.
so, yeah I think you managed to always keep it interesting to read, it never got boring, with unexpected turns of events. Especially at the end of the chapter, I really didn't see that one coming, but thats again something I really appreciate in a book, that the storyline keeps surprising me!
I can only assure you one more time that I REALLY loved this first chapter, it made me sooo looking forward to the rest of the story. I think that you are very talented. in fact i m really looking forward to buying a copy whenever you decide to publish this book
I'm really glad you trusted me with your "baby" and I promise you i will not betray your trust in me
I see why this is so important to you and I wish you the best of luck with "The Autumnal Equinox". I for myself, can only say that I believe in this book!! You did such a great job!
love
Mandy
I wanted to read the chapter a few times to fully appreciate it; I tend to be a rapid reader when I like something, and sometimes it causes me to miss details just one time through. I'm also a picky reader, so my opinion will be very honest, not just flattery: I. Love. It.
First, your title for your book is intriguing, and were I to see it in the library, I would definitely pick it up to look at it. The summary, I think would also interest me. the first chapter would have me hooked. I love how real your characters feel, as if I am getting a glimpse at someone's life, not just reading a story. And by the time I got to the end, I wanted to keep reading, to just keep going because I needed to know what happened next. Each time through. I've read it four times, and the effect is the same. I particularly liked some of your phrasing, such as Michael's eyes being the postscript to Amanda's talk letter, a very unique way of expressing the occurence. And, for stating that English is not your first language, it is superb, and frankly, much better than many who do call it their native language.
I hope it lets you know that you are gifted with writing and that your story captures the reader, which is the indication that shows the author is doing their job very well.
Thank you for trusting me with your 'baby', I can truly appreciate that

The feedback was great, and I'm really happy and I managed to satisfy these two with the very first chapter of my book. Of course, when I trusted Mandy and Annalee with my 'baby', it means they have my full trust, which would make me feel comfortable and say that if these two win the next contest I'll host, they will receive up to chapter FIVE of "The Autumnal Equinox"!
Hope I'll be able to buy the book or books someday
